253 East Delaware Place is located just east of Michigan Avenue and the Hancock Center, one-half block away from scenic Lake Michigan and on a quiet section of tree-lined street.  The building is in the perfect location for access to a wide variety of fine entertainment and dining, cultural, outdoor activities and shopping options – all while maintaining a warm, residential feel. Public transportation options abound.

Built in 1957 as luxury apartments and converted to condominiums in 1981, this brick high-rise is 23 stories tall, with 164 units, comprised mostly of  one bedrooms and studios. The 24-hour door staff is always available to welcome you, provide security and attend to your packages in the Receiving Room. Attached valet garage parking is available for lease to residents. Amenities include a sundeck with sweeping city-views in all directions, laundry facilities, loading dock, hospitality room, bike room and storage lockers.  The building features an on-site manager in addition to an engineer and maintenance staff.

Home to residents of all ages and backgrounds.   Included in this group are a number of professionals, graduate students and medical professionals who enjoy living at 253 East Delaware because it is within close proximity to neighboring Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and School of Law, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Loyola University, luxury hotels, financial and retail establishments as well as many other convenient locations of education and employment. In June of 2012, the newly constructed Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago will open just several blocks away.

We’d love to tell you our story and answer any questions about life in our community.
